PROFESSIONAL LEARNING WEBINAR
The Forgetting Curve: Why recycling of functional language is so important
All learners need constant repetition of new high-frequency words and phrases otherwise, they are quickly forgotten. But the language young children need to socialise and interact with may be different from what teachers would traditionally teach them!
Before proceeding, we recommend you have permission from your manager to engage in this activity to ensure you are compensated for your time. We expect that this learning module takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete.
This learning module is designed for all teachers and educators engaged in delivering the Early Childhood Language Program, to explore the skills, knowledge, and practices that early childhood professionals need to effectively engage children in the language program.
We have designed this learning session to be conducted as a professional development opportunity for your whole team, to encourage meaningful discussion and planning for action together. However, where that is not possible the module is also suited to individual access.
We hope this learning module is meaningful for your program and we welcome your input to build on the skills, resources, and support for the whole Early Childhood Language Program cohort of early childhood professionals.
This webinar was run on 24 May 2023.
