Join Dr Siobhan Hannan as she takes you through each of the ECLP Guiding Concepts, why they work and how you can use them as teaching strategies.
The Early Childhood Language Program’s Guiding Concepts are based on research and identify what is effective in language learning.
This webinar has been designed to support language teachers and kindergarten teachers who use them to lead and shape team discussion on effective language teaching practice, as well as planning for your language program.
Before proceeding, we recommend you have permission from your manager to engage in this activity to ensure you are compensated for your time. We expect that this learning module takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete.

Speaker
Dr Siobhan Hannan is a language teacher, kindergarten teacher and university lecturer. She set up the North West Brunswick Kindergarten Italian language program that is now one of ten ECLP bilingual programs.
She has a PhD in early childhood bilingual pedagogy, and lectures in early childhood education. Siobhan has contributed to the rollout of the ECLP in several ways, including working with teachers to describe current early childhood language teaching practice in Melbourne, and developing and delivering training for language teachers.
