PROFESSIONAL LEARNING WEBINAR
Building a Culture of Child Safety: An Overview of the Child Safe Standards
In 2022 a significant development in child safety reform in Victoria saw the implementation of a revised set of child safe standards. The new set of Child Safe Standards includes 11 standards, replacing the former seven.
This webinar is designed to support anyone working in early childhood education and care settings to understand how you can apply these new standards in your setting.
This learning module is designed for all teachers and educators working in early childhood, to explore the skills, knowledge, and practices that early childhood professionals need to effectively create a culture of safety.
We have designed this webinar to be conducted as a professional development opportunity for your whole team, to encourage meaningful discussion and planning for action together. However, where that is not possible the module is also suited to individual access.
We hope this webinar is meaningful for your program and we welcome your input to build on the skills, resources, and support for the whole Early Childhood Language Program cohort of early childhood professionals.
Before proceeding, we recommend you have permission from your manager to engage in this activity to ensure you are compensated for your time. We expect that this learning module takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete.
This webinar was run on 15 November 2023.
