Learning another language is not only learning different words for the same things but learning another way to think about things.
— Flora Lewis

It was fantastic to see so many teachers face to face at the Early Childhood Language Program’s Annual Forum for 2022. Thank you to everyone who joined us, especially our regionally based teachers for making the trek into the city to be part of it.

We would also like to thank the Djirri Djirri Dancers and Mandy Nicholson for opening the forum, as well as Aunty Fay Muir, Mel Steffensen, Lynnette George and Brett West for being part of our panel this year. What a privilege to be able to hear from First Nation teachers and mentors engaged in delivering language programs to preserve the first languages spoken across country in Victoria! It was a joyful day full of ideas and learning.
